Robotic Replacement of Solar Panels

I worked in a team of 3 to design a gripper mechanism and program a robot to traverse a field and replace 2 solar panels mounted at 2 different angles. The system is not autonomous as each step of the process is controlled with an IR remote, continuing only when deemed safe to do so. Line sensors and ultrasonic are still used to traverse the stage. I did some of the analysis design and was in charge of the coding part along with designing the state machine. This project wasn't too successful as we encountered issues with 3D-printing the components we needed and there were mechanical issues that prevented the robot from running smoothly without external factors.
